Fjord View & Hillside Guest House

Owned by brothers Peter John and Peter Simon, these two guest houses are on the edge of Komoa Village, directly across the fjord from Tufi resort. Fjord View has two neat rooms, mess area, shower and the added bonus of a flush toilet. Hillside guest house has four rooms, each with four beds, and also has mess area, shower and flush toilet. Well maintained grounds, beautiful views, local traditions and friendly locals make this a very enjoyable village stay. Together can sleep 12 comfortably or up to 20 in total.

Komoa Guest House

Just a 10-minute boat ride from Tufi Resort, these guesthouses sit directly above beautiful Komoa beach where you can relax and enjoy the ocean views. Perfect for large or small groups there are three guest houses each with two rooms, plus a one-room standalone. Stroll to the beach for snorkelling or swimming, go for a canoe ride into the Fjords, or check out the flora and fauna on a pristine nature hike. Sleeps 12+.

Yegarue Guest House

10 minutes by car, or a pleasant 50-minute walk from the resort, this guest house is secluded and private and yet only a stone’s throw from Yegarue village. Separated by a breezeway, there are two ample bedrooms each with a large anteroom. The all-round verandahs overlook beautiful gardens and breathtaking views of the fjord. Take a walk up to the butterfly farm or stroll down to the village to immerse yourself in local customs and traditions. Sleeps 4 comfortably.

Baga Guest House

Just a short boat ride south of the resort lies the village of Baga. Set amidst attractive gardens, the guest house has two large rooms with ocean views from the verandah. Nearby there are three white sandy beaches and if you enter the small side bay and walk up through the forest, you’ll be rewarded with the highest waterfall in the area, dropping spectacularly into a natural rock faced swimming pool. Sleeps 4 comfortably.

Oratoaba Guest House

A one-hour trek from the coast takes you up to the Oratoaba guesthouse, set amidst well

maintained grounds and featuring four rooms. Nestled between two fjords and high up in the hills, this area has a lot to offer including spectacular 150m waterfalls, Birds of Paradise and breathtaking views of the coastline and the Solomon Sea. Your hosts Rodney and Jackson who really go out of their way to make you feel at home. They will take you on some great treks and share their local knowledge with you. Sleeps 8.

Jebo Guest House

Adjacent to beautiful white coral sandy beach, this charming guesthouse has three comfortable rooms with sweeping ocean views. Enjoy snorkelling, swimming, waterfall tour, trekking or just relaxing on the beach. Walk through the local fishing village and be amazed at the fish that the villages catch in their small canoes. These people have been fishing for centuries using traditional methods and at night it’s cooked and served fresh to you. Sleeps 6 comfortably.

Garewa Guest House

Overlooking the blue Solomon Sea with an incredible tropical beach at your door step, the guesthouse features three large rooms and a fourth open room which all enjoy spectacular ocean views. The breathtaking position makes this a popular destination for couples, with all the romance of the old South Pacific. Ask for the romantic waterfall tour and be transported to a spectacular waterfall inside the bay to chill out for a few hours whilst enjoying refreshing coconut milk and succulent cooked lobster. Tomlin Guest House

This gem is located 30 minutes down the coast by boat followed by 10 minutes up a tranquil, meandering river to the landing point. Then a pleasant walk up the hill to this lovely guest house set amongst attractive, well maintained grounds. Four big rooms with a great outlook from the veranda and a big communal dining room makes this perfect for small groups. Sleeps 8 comfortably.
